Gloucester is is located on Cape Ann, at the tip of the the North Shore. The population was 29,814 at the 2020 census. Gloucester is known for its fishing history, its beaches, and its arts scene.

Gloucester is surrounded by water, with the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Annisquam River to the west. There are several beaches in town, including Good Harbor Beach, which is one of the most popular beaches in Massachusetts.  Gloucester’s downtown area is home to a variety of shops, restaurants, and art galleries. There is also a farmers market that is held every Saturday during the summer months.
